Christmas Eve!

At the Starts! Everyone is at 5 o'clock mass and me, Emma, dad and Grandma are sitting around. Dad and Uncle Phil are playing Tiger Woods PGA wii game. Anyway, we found out this morning that our boxes with ski clothes and all of our presents that were supposed to be shipped to our hotel were shipped to Chicago. And, there is no way we will get them in time for Christmas. ): But on the bright side we will have presents to open when we get back from Utah! Emma, Mom and i are going skiing tomorrow after we visit Ty and Jacob in the morning. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Seven days until Christmas! I hope "Santa" comes! He probably cant find us since we have changed our traveling plans so many different times. Ha ha oh well. I still cannot wait!
Three days until we board a plane off to Utah!! So exciting! I am so excited that we are flying, I havent been to Utah AND on a plane in 2 years! Wow that is such a long time! Can you believe it? I cant!
I really cant wait to go skiing and see Maggie and Finn and see Dianne's new baby and little Jacob Brady Metzger! Its oh so very very exciting!

Well Well Well What do you know!

So much for driving, last minute airfare deal that will have us in Utah for the same dates as if we were driving. All good, kids don't miss sports this weekend, we won't have to drive through snow (in North Cackalack) and we will be back for New Years Eve and our 17th Wedding Anniversary! We will miss finding all the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, Gateway Arch, Zions National Park, The Grand Canyon, crossing the mighty Mississippi during sunrise and sunset (like I did on my last cross country trip), Amarillo Texas(not) and who knows what else.

Time to pack all the winter stuff to ship, so much for saving money. Can't wait to see friends and family, eat some Crown Burger, Caputos Sandwiches, a trip to the Cotton Bottom for Garlic Burgers and winter time fun in the Rocky Mountains.

So.. funny story.
Would you want to drive approx.30-40 hours in a car with 2 siblings and 2 parents.. NO! you wouldnt. and neither would i. so my dad was looking at cheap airplane tickets and whaddaya know? He found some! HAHA! and yes, that means we are flying.
so basically this whole bloggie thing is very pointless now, but i like it. and i am going to keep on posting stuff until i dont want to anymore.

OMG! My kids are driving me crazy and we are not even locked up in a car driving.
Finalized the route for the trip out....got to make it quick to see the new baby!
Checked the forcast for driving and looks decent. Will be booking hotels later tonight.

6 Days to Go!

We only have 6 more days until we pack up and get in a car for 3 days. Around the house everyone is doing chores, making cookies, and getting as much done as possible. With all 3 of the kids in school Mon-Fri they will have to do all their packing when they get home. The drive is approx. 30-40hrs and very cramped. With the computer, portable dvd player, ipods, books and car games it won't be nearly as bad.. you never know. We'll see how it goes.
